Following the COVID-19 pandemic, our hotel is now fully cashless. We accept card payments in our hotel and restaurants.
Check-in from 4:00pm and check out is 11:00am.
Absolutely. A number of our Guest rooms welcome two dogs per room. It’s £20 per night and we allow 2 dogs per room. This includes a welcome pack to help your four-legged friend feel at home during their stay. You are also welcome to bring your canine companion into the bar and The Way Inn.
But please note that dogs are not permitted during special events such as Christmas and New Year.
For any restaurant related queries please contact eat@kingshouse.co.uk and one of the team will be happy to assist.
Our bunkhouse offers shared accommodation with a separate shower room and toilet.
There’s the Kingshouse Hotel next door, with standard and signature rooms, if you’re looking for something a little more ‘ahhh’.
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am.
If you add breakfast to your booking, breakfast is served in the Way Inn. If you have food with you, you can use the communal kitchen for toast and heating up food. If you are looking for more, The Way Inn is right across from the bunkhouse and starts serving breakfast from 7.30am to 9.30am.
Our remote location means dramatic views and access to countless walking routes and outdoor activities on our doorstep.
It also means that our WiFi can be a little temperamental. You’ll still be able to answer emails (if you really want to) but we recommend you download any films, TV programmes or large files that you might need before coming to Glencoe. When staying in the Bunkhouse, you will find a better signal in the Way Inn.
Bunkhouse basics…
Although we don’t have the facilities to welcome dogs in the bunkhouse, a number of our standard rooms next door in the hotel welcome 2 dogs per room. Pop over to the bottom of our hotel page to find out more.
You’ll find our reception, restaurant, bar and inn on the ground floor. Lift at reception up to the bedrooms on the first and second floors.
We have a drying room for wet gear and a bike shed outside, there’s limited space so it’s first come, first served.
Bag storage is available for hotel residents, ideal if you’re looking to lessen the strain when walking the West Highland Way.
All of our rooms are non-smoking, with smoking being prohibited inside the building too. Smoking inside our rooms will incur an automatic £250 charge (making it the most expensive cigarette you have ever had).
As of 1 July 2024, we have informed parking regulations here at Kingshouse Hotel.
Our car park is often very busy, both with hotel guests and outdoor enthusiasts who set off to explore the area for the day. As a result, our car park frequently becomes full and is sometimes left in an unsuitable condition, leaving limited space for our staying guests. We strive to maintain a clean and tidy environment to ensure that the wildlife calling Kingshouse Hotel and the surrounding area home remains safe and free to explore.
To manage this and enhance the experience for our hotel customers, we have decided to introduce an ANPR (automatic number-plate recognition) system. All proceeds from this system will be donated to Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, a fantastic cause that performs vital work in the area.
• All resident's cars in car parks will be free.
• All patrons spending money in the restaurant and bar will get 2 hours free from a £5 or more purchase or 4 hours free from a £20 or more purchase

We appreciate the understanding of our visitors and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to this stunning area.
